SMDRA Presents Check to Brothers Redevelopment Inc
At Friday’s Metro Market Pulse Meeting the SMDRA Charities and Community Involvement Committee presented a check for $2,500.00 to our recipient, Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. (BRI). Jeff Martinez, President of Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., accepted the check.
The funds are proceeds that were collected from the 2018 Diamond Circle Awards Silent Auction event. SMDRA collected over 50 items that were available for bidding at the auction. A BIG thanks to those who donated items, and to those who bid on the Silent Auction items, that allowed SMDRA to present this check to BRI.
Brothers Redevelopment is a Denver-based nonprofit organization tht provides housing and a varienty of housing-related services (i.e., community housing, education, modification and resources) for the region’s low-income, elderly and disabled residents. Each year BRI has a paint-a-thon project, held from March – September, in which volunteer teams paint a pre-determined home for a senior or disabled homeowner who needs their home painted but cannot afford a commercial paint job. SMDRA will be recruiting team members this summer to participate in the Paint-a-Thon Project.
