Being a member of SMDRA does not automatically bring in clients – as with any business, you get out what you put in. Sponsorship opportunities at SMDRA come with one on one networking time with REALTORS® and additional perks specific to each sponsorship type.
One of SMDRA’S most popular sponsorships – be the Metro Market Pulse Breakfast sponsor and get the chance to promote your business at one of the three monthly meetings. Attendance is typically 75-100 people. Business partners receive a bi-annual email listing upcoming opportunities available on a first-come, first serve basis, and are otherwise scheduled on an as needed basis.
Sponsors receive: 2-3 minutes speaking time and the exclusive right to put their materials out on the tables and chairs.

SMDRA classes are available to our Affiliate Business Partners to sponsor. Classes can range from 15 to 125+ people, and SMDRA holds hundreds of classes a year. Sponsors are responsible for providing the food/refreshments for the class unless otherwise arranged with SMDRA staff. Affiliate Business Partners will receive an email listing the upcoming education sponsorship opportunities, which are available on a first come, first served basis.

SMDRA hosts many events throughout the year, attracting different groups of REALTORS®. These events can range from smaller Business After Hours to large scale galas such as the Diamond Circle Awards and the Inaugural and Awards Celebration. The benefits and marketing exposure vary according to each event and level of sponsorship.
Once a month, the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association holds a New REALTOR® Member Orientation Class. SMDRA invites all Affiliate Members to bring in promotional items, to go into a “New Member Goodie Bag” that is given to each orientation attendee.
This is a great, easy way to reach our new REALTORS®, who are just starting their real estate careers and are looking to make lasting connections with SMDRA Affiliate Business Partners!
These items need to be dropped off at the SMDRA office by the FRIDAY before the orientation! The bags measure 15” x 19” x 3”, so please make sure your items will fit! Recommended items include:
SMDRA Business Partners receive an email reminder one week before items are due with the number of items requested. Only one ‘item’ per business, but items may be small bags/items otherwise bundled together. Must be a current, active Affiliate in good standing to participate. Are you an expert in your field, and you want to share your knowledge with your fellow SMDRA members? Then sign up to be an Industry Insider! SMDRA hosts one ‘Industry Insider’ class per month on topics such as home warranties, VA loans, underwriting, reverse mortgages, etc. Classes must be two hours long and meet the requirements for Continuing Education (CE) credit as approved by the Colorado Real Estate Commission. Instructors are given the opportunity to sponsor their own class, or can request assistance in finding another Affiliate member to serve as sponsor. All SMDRA members receive the SMDRA Weekly eBlast Newsletter detailing; association announcements, real estate industry news, and upcoming events and classes. Only SMDRA Affiliate members can purchase ad space in these eBlasts. For more information, please email Teri Virbickis at communications@smdra.com
SMDRA partners with an outside publishing company to put together a Community Service Directory. Members can purchase ad space in this directory, which also includes helpful home buyer/seller tips, local utilities, south Denver statistics, and space for personal branding. These directories are available for free in the SMDRA office until supply runs out, at which point new directories are designed and ordered.
These make great additions to listing packets and REALTOR® office visits, and handing them out to your REALTOR® clients establishes your reputation as a valuable resource! Even in the digital age, face to face connections can make or break a business. If you are a SMDRA Affiliate Member, come to every open event you can! Attend the weekly marketing meetings and bring a prize to raffle off. Shake hands and introduce yourself, and bring plenty of business cards. REALTORS® do business with professionals they know, like and trust; so take the time to get to know them and make sure they know who you are and what you do.
