Remember to Vote This November!
Make Your Voice Heard — Every Vote Matters!
Election season is here, and SMDRA encourages all members and community residents to cast their ballots this November! Ballots have already been mailed, and local elections across the South Metro area are officially underway, leading up to Election Day on Tuesday, November 4th.
One of the greatest privileges of living in a democracy is the freedom to shape the future of our communities. Even without a national election this year, there are many important city, county, and state races — along with ballot measures — that will directly affect our neighborhoods, housing, and local economies.
Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Please take the time to learn about the issues, consider the candidates, and make an informed decision.
The SMDRA Government Affairs Committee, Candidate Screening Committee, and Board of Directors have conducted an in-depth review of the issues and candidates impacting real estate and private property rights in our region.
Candidates were invited to participate in interviews focused on topics such as real estate, the economy, housing, and tax policy.
Below are SMDRA’s recommendations for the 2025 local election, based solely on real estate–related issues and industry priorities:

But if you share our passion for protecting private property rights, housing affordability, and the strength of our real estate industry, we hope these insights will be helpful as you fill out your ballot.
✅ No matter who or what you vote for — just make sure you vote!
