The South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association (SMDRA) is proud to support the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s (CHFA) Own Your Tomorrow: Passport to Homeownership event on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and we encourage our REALTOR® members to share this free community resource with clients, friends, and anyone considering homeownership.
Designed to educate and empower prospective homebuyers, this interactive event connects attendees with trusted housing professionals and organizations that can help them better understand the homebuying journey. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with housing counselors, mortgage lenders, REALTORS®, nonprofit organizations, and CHFA representatives while learning about topics such as financing, down payment assistance, and the steps involved in purchasing a home. The event is designed to be interactive, with attendees collecting stamps in a “Passport to Homeownership” as they visit educational stations throughout the event.
The SMDRA Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Action (IDEA) Committee will be participating with an information table, where committee members will be available to talk with attendees about the value of working with a REALTOR®, answer general questions, and share resources that support successful homeownership.
