RISING STAR AWARD POLICY

Purpose

To recognize and pay tribute to a REALTOR® who has given outstanding service to the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association and/or his/her community during their first seven years as a REALTOR®. The award shall be given each year at the Annual Inaugural and Awards Celebration.

Guidelines

  • Must be an active REALTOR® member of the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association for the entire calendar year in which the award is given.
  • Committee service, contributions to RPAC (REALTORS® Political Action Committee) and participation in Association events and activities is taken into consideration.

Selection Committee

  • The Selection Committee shall consist of the last three active Rising Star Award recipients, Chairman of the Board, Chair-Elect, Past Chair, Vice-Chair and the Association Chief Executive Officer (non-voting). The most senior available past recipient will chair the Committee.
  • The person or persons under consideration to receive the award shall be known only to the Committee.

Time Frame

  • A notification shall be made to the general membership in June each year requesting nominees for the Rising Star Award, and shall include the guidelines
  • The Selection Committee shall call its first meeting during the first part of August to begin the selection process.

The award presentation will be made by the previous year’s recipient.
