BUSINESS PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD POLICY

Purpose

To recognize and pay tribute to the Business Partner Member who has contributed outstanding service and cooperation to the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association. The recipient shall receive the traveling trophy each year at the Annual Inaugural and Awards Celebration. This award will be given only if there is a deserving recipient that year.

The Business Partner of the Year Award cannot be given to a previous recipient, unless the committee decides that special consideration and merit are deserved.

Guidelines

  • Be an active Business Partner Member of the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association for a full year.
  • Regular attendance at South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association meetings and events.
  • Participation in South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association functions and committees, i.e. Inaugural and Awards Celebration, Charity Fundraisers, Diamond Circle Top Producer Awards, education courses, Business Partner special events, etc.
  • Participation in contributing to RPAC (REALTORS® Political Action Committee) is taken into consideration
  • Regular and ongoing involvement in South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association activities

Selection Committee

  • The Selection Committee shall consist of the last three (3) active Business Partner of the Year Award recipients, Chairman of the Board, Chair-Elect, Past Chair, Vice-Chair and the Association Chief Executive Officer (non-voting). The most senior available past recipient will chair the Committee.
  • The person or persons under consideration to receive the award shall be known only to the Committee.

Time Frame

  • A notification shall be made to the general Membership in June each year requesting nominees for the Business Partner of the Year Award, and shall include the guidelines.
  • The Selection Committee shall call its first meeting during the first part of August to begin the selection process.

The award presentation will be made by the previous recipient.
